History

Jahr 1900 1900 Johann Wiedemann, great-grandfather of the present company proprietor, founds a sausage processing company at his newly opened livestock farm and slaughterhouse in Augsburg


1930 After his death, his wife Maria, together with their children, continue to run the company in Augsburg-Lechhausen

1950 Maria and Johann's son August Wiedemann expands the company and product range to include the classic needs of the butcher trade.


1957 Upon completion of his business training, 20-year old Walter Wiedemann, son of August Wiedemann, joins the family business. He was instrumental in promoting the construction of the new company building in the Johannes-Haag Street.


1964 With the support of his wife Ingrid, Walter Wiedemann moves the company into the modern, hi-tech company premises. Additions to the range of products and services include meat packaging machinery, in-house maintenance and repair, salt handling and trade, and import and export trade. The following years are characterized by continuous growth and successful company expansion.


1978 The next move to the new reconstructed company premises at the location of the former livestock farm and slaughterhouse takes place. Active construction and company expansion leads the way to positive business growth and development. The building is expanded by the addition of an entire upper floor.


1987 Daughter Barbara, after completion of a degree in business management, joins the family business.

1995 The 4000 square meter Logistic Center is annexed to the company


2000 The 100 year anniversary of the company prompts the opening of an impressive 2000 square meter retail sale, display and warehouse area. A new business concept and expansion of product range focussing on everything related to the catering supply business with the slogan "Cooking Bazaar" is launched with much success


2003 Following the death of Walter Wiedemann, daughter Barbara Brüggemann-Hartz takes over company management in keeping with the perception, judgement and aspirations of her late father.
